The Fujifilm finepix takes some nice movies at 30 frames per second, but at a resolution of only 640x480. It maintains the same field of view as with the still pictures but uses only a fraction of the pixels on the CCD chip. The pixel spacing was 16 microns/pixel (see Pixel Size Calculation), and the creatures look fuzzy no matter what.

(not reconstructed, just the raw file).

Even though it does not focus well,
it does show the behavior of the creatures.
You'll need a nicer camera if you want to take movies and get really worthwhile images.

The movies could only be taken in color and saved in an mjpeg format; I converted them to black and white in Videomach after downloading an mjpeg DirectX codec from this site (codec is already included on Windows XP).
