AVAILABLE POSITIONS

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University announces the availability of a post-doctoral position in experimental fluid mechanics.

The Institute of NanoBioTechnology is seeking graduate students.

Institute for NanoBioTechnology
Graduate Students

Many of our Mechanical Engineering faculty collaborate in a multi-disciplinary approach with other university faculty in nanotechnology, biotechnology, and nanobiotechnology studies, and will accept graduate students into their programs.  Information about the institute and their programs is available at http://inbt.jhu.edu/index.php and http://inbt.jhu.edu/graduateprograms.php.

JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Experimental Fluid Mechanics

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University announces the availability of a postdoctoral position in the area of experimental fluid mechanics, starting in the spring of 2007. The project involves detailed characterization of flow and bubble dynamics occurring when a bubble cloud is accelerated through a nozzle to create a high-speed cavitating liquid jet. A Ph.D. degree and background in fluid mechanics, particularly in experimental research is required. Prior experience in optical measurement techniques and/or in multiphase flows is desirable.

Questions on the available positions can be addressed either to Prof. J. Katz at katz@jhu.edu or to Dr. David VanWie at David.VanWie@jhuapl.edu.  Interested applicants are invited to submit a detailed resume, including an updated list of publications (along with a sample of a couple of these publications) and a list of references to:

Experimental Fluids Postdoc
